Pattrn is a low-volume design / build consultancy in Berkeley, California that focuses on making websites and web apps that are easy to use, structurally sound, and aesthetically effective.

Strategically opportune projects driven by creatively embedded social justice values go to the top of my list.

I am Erik Hopp. I co-founded and worked for a long time at Quilted. I recently moved on and am focusing on building dashboards, web tools and applications, workflows, and data visualizations. I also make software to support the pollution sensors we make at AethLabs (where I also work).

I’ve designed and built things with a lot of interesting organizations including The Yes Men, Sierra Club, Fair Trade USA, the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, National Lawyer’s Guild, Shareable, NoiseBridge, and the Institute for the Future.

I’ll put work examples up when I get a chance.
